DAY 01: .../ LIMA
Arriving in Lima, transfer to the hotel

DAY 02: LIMA / AREQUIPA

Departure by domestic flight to Arequipa
Arrive and transfer to the hotel
In the afternoon you will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, considered one of the best and most beautiful monuments in Latin American from the 16th Century which recently visit by public on 1970. Afterward you will continue to one most picturesque Main Squares in South America, the “Plaza de Armas.” The square is surrounded on three sides by an impressive double arcade formed with portals containing figures made from granite ash rock, (solidified volcanic ash), and raised brick. On the fourth side of the square is the Cathedral; then continue your tour to the San Francisco Temple; the Santo Domingo Temple of baroque –mestizo style; the Temple of the Company.
Afterwards you will transfer to Yanahuara neighbourhood, that possesses an terrace with arcades made from volcanic ash rock, from which you can appreciate an excellent views of the city.
Return to hotel.

DAY 03: AREQUIPA / COLCA CANYON
After breakfast , you will depart early in the morning from Arequipa on the Yura route, going by the Aguada Blanca National Reservation and the Cañahuas Pampas where you will appreciate vicunas, alpacas, and the fauna flora of the area.
Then you will continue your journey until you arrive to the town of Chivay

DAY 04: COLCA CANYON/ AREQUIPA
Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the Cruz of the Condors, (Condor Cross), where you be able to see the awe-inspiring over flight of the majestic of the Condors
During the journey you will really appreciate the 3,400 meter depth of the Colca Caynon.  You will also visit Pinchollo where you will see the pre-Columbian hanging tombs built in niches that have been dug in sharp and almost vertical hills.
After lunch in Chivay you return to Arequipa. Arrive and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 05: AREQUIPA / CUZCO

Rest the morning free in order to acclimatize to the altitude
In the afternoon city tour: the Main Square, which is surrounded by a beautiful stone arched. Here is located the Cathedral, which is exceptional because of its contrasting styles. The convent of Santo Domingo was built above the most important Inca Temple, The temple of the sun or “Koricancha” as it was known in the Inca language quechua.
Afterwards visit to the nearby ruins: Sacsayhuaman, made of three gigantic terraces superimposed in a zigzag form and surrounded by enormous walls of rock, some of which are up to 300 metres in length; Kenko, was a religious centre formed by a calcareous rock. It has underground galleries and a semicircular amphitheatre with stone seats; Puca Pucara, or the “Red Fort” was a military base made of stone stairways, terraces and walls and Tambomachay, well known as “Baths of the Incas” a place dedicated to the cult of the water, formed by aqueducts channels and small cascades worked in rock.
Return to the hotel.

DAY 06: CUZCO / MACHUPICCHU – INCA TRAIL

We pick you up from your hotel at 05.30am and take you to San Pedro train station to board the train that will take us to km.104 on the Cusco – Machupicchu railroad (starting point of the trek), where we will arrive at around 10:00 am. We start visiting the Chachabamba archaeological complex (2150m/7052ft), located very close to the control point, to then embark upon an 8 km ascending trail, which after four hours takes us to the archaeological complex of Wiñaywayna (2650m/8692ft). This is an impressive complex made up of an agricultural center with numerous terraces, a religious sector and an urban sector. On the way up we will have magnificent views of the Urubamba River valley and the Choquesuysuy archaeological complex located on the other side of the river, and also of a beautiful waterfall located just a few minutes away from Wiñaywayna. We then go on and climb to Intipunku, or The Sun Gate. This will take an hour of hiking along a trail of flat stones on the edges of cliffs in highland jungle. From this fabulous spot, we may contemplate the sacred citadel of Machupicchu. From Intipunku we descend to Machupicchu and then by bus to Aguas Calientes.

DAY 07: MACHUPICCHU / CUZCO

We wake up early and board a bus, which will take us up to Machupicchu where we begin a complete guided tour of the Inca citadel that will take approximately two hours. You will then have free time to walk around, climb the Huaynapicchu Mountain, where one can experience spectacular views of all of Machupicchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it, or visit the Temple of the Moon and the fabulous Inca Bridge. In the afternoon, we meet in the town of Aguas Calientes where, if you like, you can visit and relax in its hot springs. Buffet in a local restaurant in Aguas Calientes town. From here we take the train back to the city of Cusco, where we arrive after nightfall. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
 

DAY 08: CUZCO / LIMA

Departure by domestic flight to Lima
Arrive and transfer to the Hotel.
